INDORE: Following a tiff with patient’s attenders' on Sunday, doctors at state-run MY Hospital stopped routine work demanding action against the accused that attacked an on-duty doctor.

Doctors have threatened to go on strike and abstain from attending emergency cases. But, succeeding assurances from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College (MGMMC) dean to investigate the matter and take appropriate action doctors did not go on strike.

The entire episode of tiff with the doctors got recorded in the CCTV cameras installed in the hospital, which doctors presented as an evidence of misbehaviour.

Newly appointed, Junior Doctors’ Association (JUDA) president, Dr Anil Kumar Solanki said, “We have stopped routine work to press our demand to take police action against the accused and book them under Doctors’ Protection Act.

We have video recording in which two accused wearing black jacket have thrashed the victim doctor. Hospital administration should lodge police complaint. The accused works in police department.”
