Indore: A dispute between two shop owners in Kalakhet area of Mandsaur city escalated into a violent scuffle on Friday, leaving four persons injured.
The incident occurred on Road No 1, where tensions between the two sides, reportedly brewing since the previous day, flared again and turned into a physical altercation.
ASP TS Baghel said that the confrontation involved operators of Anmol Jewellers and Dalwani Bazaar. The disagreement reportedly started on Thursday over parking of a vehicle outside the establishments. During the argument, a vehicle was allegedly damaged, which further aggravated the situation between two sides.
On Friday, the issue resurfaced when Dalwani Bazaar operator reportedly asked Anmol Jewellers side to get the damaged motorcycle repaired.
The discussion quickly turned into another heated exchange, after which members of both sides confronted each other and the dispute spiralled into a fight.
Honey Dalwani and Shankar Dalwani from Dalwani Bazaar sustained injuries in the clash. From Anmol Jewellers side, Akshat and Rajesh were also injured. Local residents intervened and separated the groups before the situation worsened.
All four injured were taken to district hospital in Mandsaur, where they are undergoing treatment.
Police reached the spot after the incident and began recording statements of both sides.
