Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has rescheduled the second semester LLM examination from third week of December.
Of the two exam centres for LLM second semester exam, one centre was IPS Academy and the other was Govt New Law College.
Considering that the Govt New Law College has backed off to cater as an exam centre owing to the ongoing issues, DAVV has postponed the exams.
“The LLM second semester examination which was scheduled to begin from December 8. The department will put up the revised time table on the website soon,” deputy registrar of DAVV examination and confidential department, Rachna Thakur told TOI.
In order to ensure that all the students are made aware the dates for the revised time-table is chosen with a gap of one week, she added.
DAVV has around 200 students enrolled in LLM in second semester who were to appear in the exam from December 8 onwards at two exam centres.
The principal in-charge of Govt New Law College, Narendra Dev requested in writing to DAVV that owing to the ongoing issues at college including staff crunch as six faculty members have been debarred for five days, it would be difficult for the college to double as the exam centre too.
To accommodate a college-level probe under pressure of ABVP student leaders alleging that the teachers propagate religious extremism and indiscipline on December 1, the college principal had debarred the faculty members from teaching work.
This was followed by resignation of the principal Dr Inamur Rahman on December 3 after the student leaders staged a protest demanding his resignation.
