Indore: Continuing its drive against dangerous buildings, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on Thursday demolished a residential structure at Jinsi area that was found to be in dilapidated condition.
The G+1 building, which belonged to Dinesh Sharma, was found to be in a dilapidated shape and posed a high risk of collapsing anytime. “The building, which consisted of two rooms on the ground and upper floor, was earmarked as ‘most dangerous’, and on the basis of which it was demolished,” IMC’s removal wing official Bablu Kallyane said. IMC had identified around 127 dangerous buildings in a survey. However, demolition action could be taken against hardly 50 of them. TNN
