INDORE: Now on, residents of the official quarters, constructed and owned by the central public works department (CPWD) can directly lodge their complaints relating to the maintenance of their houses through the e-service facility on computer and mail it to the department through mail. VK Sharma, chief engineer, CPWD, central India, unveiled the facility in Indore on Tuesday. The complaints can also be lodged by cellphone through toll-free number, as provided by the department, said Sharma.

After the complaint is lodged, once can also track them as alerts relating to them will be given to them by the department through SMS. Moreover, the redressal of complaints will be done within 24 hours of lodging of the complaint. Sharma hoped that the facility will be able to redress the quarter-related grievances of the residents and also help bring transparency in the department’s functioning on the other. Also, provision has been made for monitoring of the grievances, said he. Sharma informed this kind of facility will also be unveiled in Bhopal on 09 July.
