Indore: A court on Friday sentenced four persons to death for killing a man and stuffing his dismembered body parts in a dry borewell in Dhanana village of Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh.
Shajapur additional sessions judge Hitendra Kumar Mishra pronounced the capital punishment for Amin Khan (32), Amjad Khan (35), Sheikh Dawood (34) and Mithun Malviya (26) after it was found that the accused had killed one Yakub Khan with an axe over a monetary dispute on December 18, 2012.
Three of the accused are brothers. Yakub, a resident of Akodia, was visiting them to recover Rs 17,000 he had given them as loan.
During the course of hearing, it was proved that the accused had cut the body into 64 pieces and stuffed it in a bore well on agriculture fields.
Yakub's family had lodged a missing persons report on December 25, 2012, but the police could not trace him. The body parts surfaced when a heavy machine was used to dig up the bore well in January 24, 2013. Yakub's body was identified on basis of a ring and clothes found in the bore well. Once the murder was established, police intensified the probe and finally arrested the four accused.
