Copies of students who got zero marks to be re-evaluated
Indore: After the recent chaos surrounding the declaration of Madhya Pradesh Board class 5 and 8 results, the state education department has stepped in to address numerous complaints received from schools across the Indore district and other parts of the state. The department has approved re-evaluation for the answer sheets of the affected students. Following the announcement of the board results, a wave of discontentment swept through the education community as it became apparent that technical errors had led to students being awarded zero marks. The alarming number of complaints — 109 schools within the Indore district alone — highlighted the gravity of the situation.“This decision aims to rectify the technical errors and provide an accurate assessment of the students’ performance. Students need not to worry since the department is working towards solving the issue,” said education department district project coordinator Akshay Singh Rathore, Within the next three days, the re-evaluation process will be done, the department informed the district officials in a video conference on Tuesday. The list of such students who have been awarded zero marks in one or more subjects has been prepared by the department. With this, school authorities, students, and their families have expressed relief. They are hopeful that the re-evaluation process will rectify the errors and provide the students with the marks they truly deserve. The board had declared the results for class 5 and 8 on May 15. But, its website crashed causing inconvenience to many for at least two days.
