Cop suspended after video of misbehaviour goes viral

Indore: A constable at Kotwali police station was suspended after a video showing him beating and misbehaving with a couple went viral.
Khandwa superintendent of police SK Shukla suspended constable Anand Jhanjhot taking cognisance over the viral video and ordered an inquiry into the matter.
SP Shukla told TOI, “The constable was suspended after a video of him went viral.His conduct was improper as appeared in the video.”
The incident took place on intervening night of Friday and Saturday at Makhanlal Chaturvedi bus stop in the district. In the video the constable was seen misbehaving with a couple (husband-wife), who was waiting for a bus to Barwani, and hurling abuses.
When the husband opposed the constable over hurling abuses, he beat him up.
Subsequently, he went to the wife of the couple and snatched the phone from her hand throwing it on the ground.
In this, the couple's one-year-old daughter also fell on the ground and sustained an injury on nose.
Following the incident, the couple went to police station to lodge a complaint against the constable.
