Electronic goods trader Bhagwati trading and two-wheeler dealer Raymon motors have been raided by the department.

On Sunday, Rs 21.73 and Rs 42.65 lakhs have been recovered by the department from the business premises of both the shops respectively.

"A team of 30 officials carried out the operation. We are suspecting that for te past one year the dealers have been hiding their transaction details from the department. The stock recovered at the business premises of these firms is less than what their record books show," said commercial tax commissioner Raghvendra Singh.
