Cleanliness dispute escalates to brawl

Indore: A dispute over cleanliness in a rented house took a violent turn in the Vijay Nagar on Wednesday night. The altercation escalated, when a social media influencer tenant called her friends for support after being scolded by the landlord. The situation quickly spiralled into a brawl, during which the landlord, in a fit of rage, allegedly bit a tenant's ear, partially severing it.
Vijay Nagar police station in-charge Chandrakant Patel said complaints were filed by both parties, and a cross FIR was registered. On the complaint of Prashant Sirothia, the landlord, a case was registered against Roshan Kumar Soni, Karthik Goswami, and their associates. Meanwhile, on the complaint of Karthik, a case was registered against Prashant.
Prashant Sirothia, a property businessman, rented out a room in Vijay Nagar to a woman named Sanskriti Gurjar. He alleged that the tenant was not maintaining cleanliness in the bathroom. When he confronted her about the issue and asked her to vacate the house, she reportedly called her friends for support.
Her friends, Roshan Kumar Soni and Karthik Goswami, allegedly started abusing and physically assaulting Prashant. His brother and father intervened to de-escalate the situation, but the conflict only intensified. During the brawl, Prashant Sirothia bit Karthik's chest, neck, and ear. The bite on the ear was so severe that a portion was severed.
Both parties sustained injuries and were taken to MY Hospital for medical treatment. The police have registered cases against both sides and are currently investigating the matter.
