INDORE: Cops at Chhatripura police station of west Indore late on Thursday evening booked a Class VIII student boy for allegedly attacking a Class VI student girl with his geometry box and sharp instruments inside.
The 11-year-old girl was allegedly being harassed by the 14-year-old boy in the school located at Biyabani area since a month, after which she had recently complained the matter to the school principal, resulting in the boy's ouster from the school.

Aiming to avenge the loss of school, the boy student stopped the girl on way to school on Thursday in Vardhman Nagar area and indulged in heated war of words. Later in a fit of rage, the boy attacked the Class VI student girl with the geometry box and the pointed instrument inside.
The girl sustained slight injuries due to the attack by her ex-senior school mate. The matter was reported by the girl's family in the evening at Chhatripura police station, after which the boy was booked for hurting the girl with dangerous weapons.
"He was booked under Section 324 of IPC and brought to the police station, from where he was later set free on personal surety furnished by father," Chhatripura police station in charge RD Kanawa said. Importantly, the boy's mother had recently complained to the police's women helpline about her husband who now lives with another woman.
