INDORE: City-based cricketer, Manpreet Singh Sidhu, 32, has been selected as the chief coach at the Vaas Victoria Cricket Academy in UAE to hone the cricketing skills of the players there.
Talking to TOI, Manpreet said, “I had been in contact with the academy officials and looking at my skills they have selected me as the chief coach at Vaas Academy, which was recently established in the name of Sri Lankan cricketer Chaminda Vaas.”
He would be joining the academy from Monday.
“Currently I am video analysts with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and had earlier also coached players in Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA),” he said.
He had played Sri Lanka league in 2012 and English county league in 2013. He now plays for a club in UAE as overseas player.
