INDORE: The document verification process for DAVV-CET group C and D was finally held on Saturday amidst police security. But, instead of conducting the process from central venue, documents were verified at the respective departments.
Group C document verification was scheduled to be held on Friday but it was postponed for a day due to technical glitches and confusion over provisionary and final selection list.

“We wanted to keep transparency in the entire process but students and parents were unable to understand the difference between provisionary and final list. So, to avoid any confusion we continued the document verification at the respective departments on Saturday,” said CET chairman Prof Anil Kumar Garg.
Considering Friday’s incident, varsity decided to seek police protection during the document verification to avoid any untoward situation.
“I have been getting threatening and abusive calls. We did not want any mishap to take place during the admission process. So police protection was sought,” added Garg.
Students reached the varsity campus on Saturday to get their documents verified to secure seat in their choice of course. However, no fixed venue was allotted by the varsity for Saturday’s process so students and parents reached School of Journalism and Mass Communication, according to the old schedule.
Later on, they were informed about the verification being held at the respective departments.
In group C, document verification for B Pharma was held at School of Pharmacy, MCA and M Tech (IT) at IIPS and MBA (HA) at IMS.
In group D, document for MSc Electronics and Tele-communication were verified at School of Electronics, MSc in life science and individual microbiology and Msc Biochemistry at School of Life Science and School of Biochemistry.
