Cash, jewellery worth ₹10L stolen in Dhar

Indore: Over half a dozen unidentified persons broke into a house at Nai Colony in Kheda village of Dhar district and made away with cash and jewellery worth lakhs of rupees which was saved for the upcoming marriage.
Badnawar police station in charge Vishwadeep Singh Parihar said that the theft took place in the house of Harish Patel around 2 am on Thursday. The accused broke in by breaking the window mesh. They locked the rooms where Patel and his family members were sleeping and took the iron almirah out of the house into jungle behind the house, where they broke open the locks and stole cash and jewellery.
Patel said that the accused stole gold and silver items worth Rs 10 lakh along with Rs 53,000 cash which was saved for an upcoming marriage.
Police have registered a case. Patel is district president of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh. tnn
