Car smashes city bus stop & lands on police station premises
Indore: A car moving at high speed crashed into a Smart City bus stop at Palasia intersection damaging it completely before landing on Palasia police station premises early Friday morning.The accident occurred between 2 and 2.30 am. According to Palasia TI Surendra Singh Raghuvanshi, the white car was coming from Saket area at very high speed when its driver lost control. "The vehicle first hit the Smart City bus stop, reducing the structure to a pile of rubble. The car then damaged boundary wall, footpath, and railings before landing on police station grounds," he said.A man sleeping near the bus stop had a narrow escape as the vehicle passed just inches away from him. Four persons travelling in the car exited the damaged vehicle and fled from the spot."Vehicle documents showed that the car was registered in the name of Mahesh Suthar, a resident of Piploda in Ratlam," Raghuvanshi said, adding they have seized the car and were reviewing CCTV footage to identify and locate the four car passengers.In another accident in Juni Indore police station limits, a college student driving a car crashed into several vehicles and a store.
The driver, Saumya Jatin Rajpal, a resident of Triveni Colony, was driving a car from Tower Square toward Agrasen Square. According to TI Anil Gupta, the driver reportedly panicked near Agarwal Sweets and collided with several two-wheelers before hitting shutter of a shop.While the scooters involved were severely damaged, no one was injured as the shop was closed at the time.
