Bike-borne men snatch gold chain from morning walker

Indore: Unidentified bike-borne men made away with a gold chain from a woman on her way back home from a morning walk on 60-feet road in the Annapurna area.Annapurna police said that the victim, identified as Preeti Gupta, a resident of B Annapurna Nagar, was returning home after her walk when the incident took place. Gupta told police that she is a homemaker and regularly goes for a morning walk with her friend Sunita.The incident occurred on a 60-feet road as the two women were walking back home. Suddenly, two young men on a bike passed by, and the pillion rider snatched the gold chain from Preeti's neck. During the struggle, the pendant fell on the ground, but the accused managed to flee with the chain.Preeti raised an alarm, drawing the attention of nearby residents, but the accused already escaped. The police launched an investigation and are scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify the accused.
