INDORE: City girls Anushka Hirwani (15) and Princey Singh Rathore (15) are among the probables for basketball India team organised by School Games Federation of India. Both the girls are keyed up and working their skills to make it to the Indian team. Anushka Hirwani, daughter of former Indian cricketer Narendra Hirwani and student of Satya Sai Vidya Vihar School, received the call from SGFI recently.

"I had no clue that they are even going to call me. Although I had performed good at the national-level which was held in Korba where MP stood second", she said.
Anushka was named in the top five in the Korba championship. "This could have also been a reason for making it to the list of probable," she said.
Her mother Namita Hirwani said Anushka is an all rounder and always strives to improve her skills.
"Everyone thinks that being the daughter of a cricketer, Anushka should have tried her hand in cricket, but cricket never attracted her, instead she opted basketball and just for enjoyment she started playing this game", said Namita. "Since my father is a sportsman, I have the advantage of learning lesson on mental toughness, endurance and discipline required to sustain in the game," said Anushka.
Princy Singh Rathore who is a student of Emerald Heights International School, is also gearing up for the upcoming training camp.

"This is not the first camp which I am attending, even earlier I attend Open Youth National Basketball Camp, which was held in Delhi from December 20, 2012 to January 10, 2013", said Princy. She said the camp helped her to learn higher technical skills and made her focus on fitness and gym. "My coach, Jyoti Sharma is now helping me to pick up in speed building, jumps," said Princy.
She is basically from Bhopal, and has participated in eight national and approximate 14 state-level tournaments and looking forward to make it to the India team.
