Betul youth shoots self dead in Ujjain, love affair angle suspected

Ujjain: A 29-year-old man from Betul allegedly shot himself dead at a house in Ujjain's Bengali Colony on Saturday evening, with police suspecting a love affair angle behind the incident.The deceased, identified as Nikhil Aahke, was found lying inside the house of Vinay Gayni after police received information about the shooting. He allegedly shot himself in the chest.
CSP Deepika Shinde said, "We received information that a youth shot himself inside a house in Bengali Colony. On reaching the spot, we found him dead. A pistol was recovered from the scene and an FSL team was called for investigation."During preliminary investigation it was found that Nikhil was in a relationship with a woman from Betul who recently came to Ujjain to stay at her brother-in-law's residence. Police said she reportedly stopped communicating with him.According to officials, Nikhil arrived at the house on a two-wheeler and went inside. When the woman refused to speak to him, he allegedly pushed her and her sister into a room before shooting himself.
