Auto driver arrested for stealing jewellery from tourist

Indore: An auto driver was arrested on a charge of stealing a tourist’s bag containing jewellery worth Rs 90,000 when she was at Chhappan Dukan on Monday. “The theft took place last Wednesday, when Marjeena Bee (48), a resident of South Andaman, had boarded an auto from Ujjain to Indore, and went to Chhappan Dukan between 10 pm to 10.30 pm. She left her bag inside the auto while visiting shops in the market.She later found her bag missing,” Tukoganj police station in-charge Jitendra Yadav said. TNN
