INDORE: As many as 2196 candidates have registered for
Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya
’s (DAVV) Doctoral Entrance Test (
DET
) till evening on Wednesday.
The registration window had opened for the candidates three weeks back, the response for the registration in comparison to previous registrations has been poor despite the exam being conducted after a span of three years.
The online registration window is to shut on March 5 and the last date to apply for the examination with an additional late fees of Rs 1000 is March 12.
As per the present status, there are as many as 1165 seats available for candidates which are mostly likely to increase further in a couple of days as the varsity has already decided to add 12 subjects including English, Hindi, Music, Dance, History, Yoga,
Law
etc. The varsity will be conducting the entrance test on March 26 in pen paper mode at various exam centres in the University Teaching Departments (UTD). Those candidates who have cleared
Junior Research Fellowship
(JRF) in 2019 will also be able to appear for the PhD seat directly in the
Research Advisory
committee (RAC) without appearing for the DET.
