In his suicide note, Nitin Padiyar accused women of misusing legal provisions and appealed to the government to reform the country’s laws to prevent further suffering for men and their families.

The incident took place on Monday night at Padiyar’s home in the Banganga police station area.

Additional deputy commissioner of Police Ramsanehi Mishra stated that the note named Padiyar's wife, mother-in-law, and other relatives, accusing them of harassment.

Police have launched an investigation, and legal action will follow based on their findings. The post-mortem has been conducted, officials added.

In his note, Padiyar wrote, "I, Nitin Padiyar, request the Government of India to amend the country’s laws as they are being misused by women. If no changes are made, countless men and their families will continue to suffer daily." He also advised young people to avoid marriage or only marry under a formal agreement.
