Another dry day in most parts of div
Indore: Most parts of the Indore division remained dry on Tuesday too, the third day after onset of monsoon in Madhya Pradesh. Mandsaur received moderate rainfall, which continued for around an hour, on Tuesday afternoon. Dewas and Dhar also received moderate rainfall.
While some parts of the division received light rainfall that was experienced in scattered areas, parts of the city witnessed drizzling which was not recorded by the Indore Met observatory at airport.

The Met department has warned areas like Dhar, Dewas, Ujjain and Shajapur for heavy to very heavy rainfall for the next three days. Most parts of the division witnessed thunder and lightning. The lightning claimed lives of two cattle in Mandsaur and three in Neemuch in the last 24 hours.
“Thunderstorm with lightning is expected over Agar, Dewas, Ujjain, Khandwa, Alirajpur and Dhar accompanied with heavy rainfall for the next two days,” said Ved Prakash Singh, scientist from IMD Bhopal circle.
As the monsoon has been declared over the region, farmers are eagerly waiting for rainfall as many have started sowing seeds for the new season. But most parts have remained dry despite the onset of monsoon this year till date.

Indore on Tuesday recorded a maximum temperature of 28.2 degrees Celsius, which was 5 degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded as 22.8 degrees Celsius, which was a degree less than normal.
The overcast skies kept the relative humidity on the higher side with 90% in the morning and 74% in the evening.
Across the state, the following locations received rainfall between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm: Malanjkhand - 43.0 mm, Mandla - 25.0 mm, Pachmarhi - 25.0 mm, Damoh - 22.0 mm, Raisen - 16.0 mm, Jabalpur - 12.4 mm, Sagar - 11.0 mm, Naogaon - 11.0 mm, Betul - 3.0 mm, Bhopal - 2.6 mm, Narmadapuram - 2.0 mm, Dhar - 2.0 mm, Seoni - 1.0 mm, Umaria - 1.0 mm, Guna - 0.6 mm, and Gwalior recorded 0.1 mm of rain.
Meteorological officials have issued a warning of very heavy showers also for Sagar, Narsinghpur, Balaghat and Guna. A warning of heavy showers was issued for Damoh, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Umaria, Katni, Anuppur, Seoni, Chhindwara, Mandla, Raisen, Vidisha, Bhopal, Sehore, Shajapur, Agar, and Rajgarh districts.
