Absconding real estate company owner arrested for duping two Army officers
Mhow: Badgonda police arrested a real estate company owner from a township on the Rau–Dewas bypass road for allegedly duping two Army officers of lakhs.Badgonda police station in-charge Prakash Waskale told media persons that a case was registered against the accused Mohd Anis for fraud on complaint of two Army officers Lt Col Himanshu Singh and Col Varun Vaidhya on Jan 24. Since then he was on the run. Based on a tip-off a team was sent to the township and he was arrested.

Waskale said, "Anis allegedly duped Col Vaidhya of Rs 24.15 lakh and Lt Col Singh of Rs 21.28 lakh on pretext of selling plots in his colony land being developed under the name of Raya Estate in 2021 when both the officers were posted at Mhow. They made agreements with Anis at the time of paying him money, but, when they asked him to get the property registered, he kept delaying the matter."By that time, their tenure was completed and they were posted outside Mhow. The applicants alleged in their complaints that they came to Mhow multiple times to get their property registered, but Anis did not meet them. When they were fed up with his false commitments, they lodged a complaint against Anis at Badgonda police station."
