“Accused, Ramesh Rawat, who was carrying a reward of Rs 5000, was arrested from Rajasthan,” station in-charge Jitendra Pathak told TOI.

On complaint of Haleema Ajmeri, a case of attempt to murder was filed on May 8. She had complained that her husband Mojim Ajmeri, brother-in-law Kala alias Manjur and two others tried to kill her with snake bite, police said.

Four, including husband, brother-in-law and others were arrested, while Ramesh was absconding, police said.

Fed up, her husband tried to kill her with a snake bite. Ramesh had allegedly carried a snake with him to Mandsaur. At night, he put the snake on Haleema and it had bitten her, police said.TNN
