INDORE: Over one moth has passed, but, reports of samples of two
H3N2 suspects are still awaited even after they have recovered.
The samples were sent to Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, in the first week of April. The suspects got cured till mid-April. But, Indore health authority has not received the reports till now.
District epidemiologist Dr Anshul Mishra said, “Reports of two suspects have not been received.
The samples were sent in the first week of April to GMC, Bhopal, for testing of H3N2 virus in them.”
The patients are sampled when they are classified into category C, wherein they suffer from cold, flu, fever, which lasts for three to five days or more and continuous coughing which can last for three weeks, officials said.
In Madhya Pradesh, one case of H3N2 influenza was detected in Bhopal during the second week of March, officials said. Earlier also the GMC had sent reports of two suspects 25 days after samples were sent to them for testing. Those samples were sent to GMC in March and their reports were released in April.
