Indore: Neemuch police on Tuesday suspended six police officials after they were found involved in criminal activities of most wanted smuggler
Kamal Rana, who was recently arrested by
Rajasthan police. A departmental inquiry has been launched against the officials.
“Their actions were found to be suspicious and a departmental inquiry has been launched against them.
Strict actions will be initiated against them if anything comes out in the internal probe,” said Neemuch SP Amit Tolani.

Aziz Khan and Devendra Chouhan from police lines have been suspended in the incident.
In a joint operation with Shirdi police, Rajasthan police had recently arrested smuggler Kamal Rana. Rana has been implicated in over 37 cases, including murder, dacoity, robbery, and violations of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Act and Arms Act. Both the Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh governments had declared a reward of Rs 50,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively for his arrest. During interrogations, the accused revealed the involvement of police officials from Neemuch and other nearby districts.
