INDORE

: A local sessions court will begin examining witness in

Twinkle Dagre

murder case from June 30.

On the first day, Twinkle's parents, Sanjay Dagre and Reeta Dagre will record their statements before high court.

During hearing of the case before additional sessions judge BK Dwivedi, counsel for the accused, Avinash Sirpurkar also moved an application seeking him to be produced before the court for the trial, instead of the trial being conducted through video conferencing. However, the court dismissed the application stating that the mandate by high court directed for the trial to be conducted through video conferencing.

All the five accused - Jagdish Karotia, his three sons Ajay, Vijay and Vinay Karotia and their aide Neelu Kashyap- are in jail after their bail applications were rejected by the court. Public prosecutor Vishal Shrivastav has submitted a list of 58 witnesses, who will depose before the court, during the trial. A 22-year-old city-based Congress worker Twinkle Dagre had gone missing on October 16, 2016. After over two years she went missing, police arrested the five accused.
