40-yr-old bizman stabbed in mobile phone loot bid

Indore: A 40-year-old was stabbed by a group of men, who followed him and attempted to loot his mobile phone in Vijay Nagar area when he was on his way back home, on Friday night.
Vijay Nagar police station in charge CB Singh said businessman Dinesh, resident of Shraddhashri colony in Vijay Nagar area had gone to a restaurant to pick up food and was returning home from MR 10 when four men on two bikes started following him. Subsequently, they started commenting on him.
The group later tried to accost him and loot his mobile phone but he resisted the bid. Angered by this, one of the accused pulled out a knife and stabbed the man before fleeing the spot. Dinesh asked for help from some locals and was rushed to hospital where he was admitted for treatment. Singh said that there were CCTVs installed in the area and they were getting the footage to check the identity of the accused.
In another incident in Lasudia area, a 40-year-old man attacked a youth and his father. He also stabbed and thrashed them for talking to his daughter.
Complainant Harprasad Kushwaha, resident of Dewas Naka, told police that his son Shekhar had been talking to a girl for the past few months. The girl’s father Jitendra did not like this. On Friday night, he accosted Shekhar near govt school in Lasudia Mori area and started abusing him verbally. When he objected to it and called Harprasad to the spot, the dispute escalated and the accused started thrashing him as well. They also attacked him with a knife. Harprasad's elder son Vikram, who reached the spot to intervene, was also injured in the incident. The accused threatened them of dire consequences and fled the spot.
