Indore: Keeping the LPG bookings and distribution open on a public holiday, district administration on Sunday delivered 24,450 cylinders to consumers.The special drive was initiated following directives by Collector Shivam Verma to address a backlog of approximately 50,000 cylinders in the district. With all 106 gas agencies operating on Sunday, the administration managed to halve the waiting list in a day, ensuring that the supply chain remained stable.District Supply Controller ML Maru said that officials from Food and Civil Supplies department were out in the field from the early hours, inspecting agencies and resolving real-time delivery hurdles."Oil company representatives played a pivotal role in maintaining the supply. Officials from HPCL, BPCL and IOCL ensured that all 106 agencies received a continuous flow of cylinders from bottling plants. As a result, 24,450 domestic cylinders were delivered in just a day, clear some backlog," Maru said.The district administration said that all consumers would receive their refills within three days of booking and urged citizens not to fall prey to rumours."There is ample stock of domestic LPG cylinders available across all agencies in the district. Supplies from the bottling plants are arriving daily in sufficient quantities. Every consumer will receive their cylinder within the stipulated time frame based on their booking," a statement issued by local administration noted.
