24 persons arrested for gambling in Ratlam

INDORE: The Alot police raided a house and arrested 24 persons on charges of gambling in Ratlam on Thursday. A police team raided the spot based on specific information about the accused and found that a group of men were playing cards for money.
SDOP Alot Shabera Ansari on Wednesday received a tip off that some accused were sitting in Jamat Khana in Anjuman colony.Based on information, a team from Alwar police station started conducting recee in plain clothes and a team was rushed to the spot on Wednesday night and 24 persons were arrested. Police recovered playing cards, gambling transactions worth lakhs of rupees. Rs 20,000 cash and 21 mobile phones were seized from the spot. Ratlam SP Siddharth Bahuguna said that they were checking the antecedents of the accused involved in the racket and further investigations are underway. TNN
