2 held with brown sugar worth ₹2L

Indore: Crime branch of Indore police on Wednesday arrested two persons and seized 28 gram brown sugar worth Rs 2 lakh from them.
DCP Nimish Agarwal said that they had received a tip off that a man was roaming around in Sadar Bazaar area trying to sell brown sugar. Based on the inputs a suspect Sonu Panchole, resident of Ramanand Nagar, was arrested from near an empty plot and 20 gram brown sugar was seized from him.

On the other hand, Khajrana police had also received information that a suspect was attempting to sell brown sugar in the area. Acting on the inputs, Syyed Imran Ali, was arrested and 8 gram brown sugar was seized from him.
Both the accused accepted supplying brown sugar to different areas in the city and they were booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. Police said that the accused are being questioned about their supply chain and from whom they sourced the drugs.
Agarwal said that more arrests are expected to follow in the case after questioning with the accused.
