18th All India Police Shooting Sports C’ship held in Indore’s Revati Ranges concludes
Indore: The 18th All India Police Shooting Sports Championship 2024 (AIPSSC-24) concluded with grandeur at Revati Range in Indore on Wednesday.
SI Hambir Singh of Rajasthan emerged victorious in the individual .22 STD Pistol 25m and won a gold medal in the shooting event held during the championship. The three-day event also saw the CISF team of ASI Anirudh Singh, DC Samresh Jung and HC Udit Joshi winning the gold in the .22 pistol 25m team event. It concluded with a grand medal distribution ceremony here in Indore.
Preeti Singh, a member of the erstwhile Nabha royal family of Patiala and the chief guest of the event, was welcomed by Alok Kumar Singh, inspector general, BSF, CSWT and STC, Indore.
In the presence of officials, team managers and players, the chief guest awarded gold, silver and bronze medals to the winning teams and individuals of various competitions held so far. After presenting the medals to the winners, Singh, a state-level pistol shooter, addressed the audience and encouraged the players by sharing her extensive experience in pistol shooting and motivating women to participate more in the sport.
She extended her best wishes to all the players and the organising committee for hosting the event and appreciated the efforts of Alok Kumar Singh, IG BSF, and his team in making this event a success.
