During a checking on Kyampur-Khanderia Kachar Road near a temple, a tractor-tanker without number was stopped. When the tanker was checked a partition was found.

Satakhedi police outpost in-charge Shubham Vyas said, “The accused had partitioned the water tanker to fill water in the upper layer and poppy husk in lower part to avoid any suspicion or tracking from police.”

The poppy husk was found in lower part of the water tanker. The tanker was seized and its driver Mubarak Khan was arrested, Vyas said. The driver was booked under NDPS Act.

The accused had purchased poppy husk with help of his brother Irfan alias Bablu from Ramkaran Mali. The consignment was seized when it was being taken to Kuntakoodi for selling to Dashrat, police said.
