Zonal chief of Charminar shifted in rejig

Hyderabad: In a major reshuffle in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), zonal commissioners (ZC) of Charminar, Secunderabad and Serilingampally have been shifted. These changes came into effect from July 3. The Secunderabad ZC B Srinivas Reddy was posted as Serilingampally ZC. While Serilingampally ZC J Shankaraiah was transferred and made additional commissioner (elections). Zonal commissioner of Khairatabad, N Ravi Kiran, was given full additional charges of the Secunderabad zone along with Khairatabad.For Charminar zone, T Venkanna, who was previously the deputy commissioner of Serilingampally circle, replaced Ashok Samrat as ZC. Samrat has been made the new joint director for the CDMA department.GHMC will now also have a new additional commissioner for sanitation with the appointment of Upender Reddy to the post.
