HYDERABAD: A housewife bludgeoned her husband to death using a “tava (frying pan) in Hasmathpet on Tuesday. She reportedly committed the murder as she was unable to bear the physical and mental torture meted out by her husband.
The woman, Latha, 25, married the victim, B Narasimha Raju, 32, a real estate broker, in 1997 and they settled down in the city a few years back.

Police inquiries revealed that Narasimha used to have frequent quarrels with Latha after getting drunk. He reportedly used to beat her regularly. On Monday night too, Narasimha came home in an inebriated condition and picked up a quarrel. In a fit of rage, Latha hit him on the head with the “tava, killing him on the spot.
The murder came to light after Latha told her watchman about the incident. The watchman in turn alerted the police.
