HYDERABAD: A woman, who was allegedly forced to consume cyanide, by her in-laws and husband died at a private hospital here on Sunday.
The woman, Gul Naaz Tabassum, 20, of Talabkatta married Mohammed Usman two years ago. Despite the girl’s family giving Rs 3 lakh in dowry, Usman and his parents allegedly harassed Gul for money. When Gul’s parents did not pay the additional dowry, her in-laws forced her to consume cyanide.
When the body was taken to the Osmania Hospital for post-mortem, doctors took note of abrasions on the woman’s wrists and observed that she was immobilised and forced to take cyanide.
