Saleem said that during his term all possible efforts were made to safeguard Waqf Board properties.

Talking to media on Tuesday, Saleem said, “Baseless allegations were levelled against me. But I challenge them to prove it. Did my utmost to protect Waqf land. Boldly dealt with land grabbers and threw them out of Waqf land in the state. I may not remain the chairman, but will continue to serve. I have proved my worth by my service during these five years. I will donate all my property if anyone can prove that I have done anything wrong.”

Disclosing the details of his achievements, Saleem said that encroachers were removed from Wakf properties, cases filed against them and a task force also constituted. Among welfare measures, the Board helped the needy and repaired several mosques, he said.
