Hyderabad: A woman, her lover and two others were arrested on Friday for murdering her husband who had found out about the affair.
According to Rajendranagar police, the victim, Mohammed Iqbal (40) of Golconda, had borrowed Rs 2 lakh from Md Latheef (32), a real estate broker. Latheef began to frequent Iqbal’s home and slowly became close to his wife Mehraj Begum (36). When Iqbal came to know about the affair, he warned both of them, police said.
The lovers, however, decided to kill him, cops said. As per the plan, on June 11, Iqbal, who worked for a YouTube channel, was kidnapped in a car at Tolichowki while he was on his way to Siddipet. He was stabbed to death by Latheef and Md Osman (21) from Golconda. The two were helped by Sk Sofian (21), an AC technician from Golconda, and Mehraj.
They later dumped his body in Esa river near Sun City in Rajendranagar.
After police found the body, Mehraj confessed about the murder during questioning. Based on her confession, cops arrested the remaining accused on Friday.
