Wife harassment case against cop

HYDERABAD:Nacharam police registered a case against a sub-inspector of police forallegedly harassing his wife.B Nageswara Rao, of Raghavendra Nagarin Nacharam is a sub-Inspector in the communications wing of the Hyderabadpolice commissionerate. He was married to Surya Kumari of Balanagar in the year2000.According to Nacharam police, since eight months Surya Kumariwas living separately at her brother's place in Balanagar due to allegedphysical and mental harassment from Nageswara Rao.On Monday, SuryaKumari approached the Nacharam police and lodged a complaint against NageswaraRao.A case was registered under section 498-A (subjecting marriedwoman to cruelty) of the IPC against Nageshwara Rao and the case is underinvestigation, Nacharam inspector of police V Venkateswarulusaid.
