In an SOS video sent on WhatsApp to relatives in Hyderabad, she narrated her torture. In the video, from two years ago, she said, she was being treated badly and wanted to be rescued.

"Four months after my mother went there, I had a telephonic conversation with her and then we were sent an SOS video. She had informed us that she was being tortured by her kafil (employer) as she was unable to look after his family members, something that was not part of the agreement. My mother requested us to bring her back nearly two years ago. After being in touch initially, we have not been able to speak to her,'' said Rahmat.
Relatives alleged that one Sharif, who had called her to Riyadh on domestic help visa, has not divulged details about her. Mansoor Ahmed, a relative, said, "For one year we have been trying to find out about her. Some say she was put behind bars, while others claim she has been sent back home. We sincerely appeal to the Indian government to intervene in the matter immediately."
