HYDERABAD: A youth who was playing with a dog that he had found in the corridor of a hotel accidentally fell from the third floor of the hotel in Hyderabad and died on Monday night.

Gayapu Uday Kiran (22), a painter by profession, was at the hotel at Chandanagar in the city with few of his friends for a birthday party, police said.



The incident was captured on CCTV installed in the hotel corridor.

According to police, Uday Kiran was playing with a dog he found in the hotel corridor when the accident happened. CCTV footage revealed that after exiting a room, he began to chase the dog playfully but crashed into a glass pane on the wall, leading to his fall.

Uday was taken to a nearby private hospital, where he was declared dead. On a complaint filed by his father, Gayapu Subbarao, a case was registered and investigation is underway, said police.

Uday’s family hails from Andhra Pradesh. They migrated to Hyderabad in search for livelihood.
