WARANGAL: Following the death of a road accident victim at MGM Hospital in Warangal, protests erupted alleging the death was due to medical negligence. Police registered two separate cases against the superintendant of MGM Hospital for allegedly abusing the protesters and the representatives of Lambada Hakkula Porata Samithi organisation for disrupting the services.
According to Superindent Dr V Chandrasekhar, a patient Kasu Ramulu (46) was admitted on May 12 night after he suffered injuries in an accident. However, on Saturday, he developed convulsions and could not be revived. About 30 members of a union reached the hospital and obstructed duties of doctors.
