HYDERABAD: The Congress, after an initial dilemma on whether to contest both the seats or just the Lok Sabha seat in Kadapa bypolls, has decided not to leave any of the seats uncontested.
But the problem before the party is the candidates who need to be fielded from Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula assembly constituencies.
Talking to the media after meeting senior party leaders on Thursday evening, PCC president D Srinivas said the party will contest both the seats.

The meeting was attended by D L Ravindranath Reddy, Y S Vivekananda Reddy, Md Ahmadullah, N Tulasi Reddy, N Varadarajulu Reddy, Narreddy R Reddy and Makam Ashok Kumar.
It is learnt that Vivekananda Reddy wanted Narreddy Rajasekhara Reddy to be fielded for Kadapa LS seat. The minister even met the CM on Thursday afternoon along with his son-in-law and mooted the proposal. But the party feels that it may not be possible to accommodate the minister’s request since Rajasekhar Reddy is not an Indian citizen.
Alternatively, Kandula Rajamohan Reddy, D L Ravindra Reddy, and N Tulasi Reddy are under consideration, sources said.
Some Congressmen suggested that Sobhagyamma, wife of Vivekananda Reddy, be pitted against Vijayalakshmi, wife of YSR, for the Pulivendula seat. But sources said that Vivekananda Reddy himself may agree to contest against his sister-in-law.
Meanwhile, the TDP is considering the names of M V Mysura Reddy for LS seat and M Ravichandra Reddy for the Pulivendula assembly seat.
