HYDERABAD: Two persons committed suicide in separate incidents in the city.
In the first incident, P Padma, 22, committed suicide by consuming hair dye at her house at Lower Dhoolpet on Tuesday around 6.30 pm. She reportedly took the extreme step as she was depressed over not getting good alliances.
According to Mangalhat sub-inspector Md Ismail, the incident came to light when Padma's father P Lakshmaiah returned home and found his daughter unconscious on the floor. He shifted her to Osmania Hospital, where she succumbed around 10 pm.
In the second incident, N Vasu, 23, who attempted suicide by consuming pesticide at his employer's house, where he was working as a cook, on January 7, died while undergoing treatment at Nims late on Tuesday night. In his dying declaration he said he was hurt as his aunt's daughter was being married off to another person.
Vasu's employer Rakesh had found him in an unconscious state in the kitchen and shifted him to Nims. He succumbed late on Tuesday night while undergoing treatment, Jubilee Hills sub-inspector N Mohan Rao told TOI.
Separate cases were registered under section 174 (Suspicious death) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
