(CCS) police arrested two members of the notorious

'good morning' robbery gang

and recovered two dummy pistols along with 3.5 tola gold from their possession. The culprits have been identified as

Babbu Malik

, 28, and Imran Malik, 32, scrap vendors from Pasonda village of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. On interrogation, the duo confessed to have committed 21 robberies by stopping people and robbing them at gunpoint in Delhi, Pune and Hyderabad. To execute the robberies, the two purchased old scooters, fixed fake registration plates and sent them to targeted cities through cargo trucks. "The gang members then travelled by air and committed robberies by targeting old people who were on morning walks. They approached the victim wishing him/her good morning or namaste, asked for directions and then robbed them at gunpoint," DCP, CCS, Avinash Mohanty said.
