Two pressure bombs hidden on the road defused by cops

BHUPALAPALLY: The police on Tuesday defused two

pressure bombs

hidden on the main road between

Bhadrachalam

and Kothaguda.

According to police, an autorickshaw driver who was attending to the call of nature near some roadside bushes at

Vijayapuri Colony

in Venkatapur mandal noticed the bombs. They were placed in a cloth near a signboard.

The driver alerted the police and a bomb disposal squad rushed to the site and defused the pressure bombs. Eturunagaram assistant superintendent of police Rahul Hegde said they suspect the bombs were planted by

Maoists

targeting police patrol parties.
