HYDERABAD: Police Task Force on Friday arrested two fraudsters and recovered seven stolen vehicles worth Rs 74 lakh from them along with Rs 2.25 lakh in cash. Acting on specific information, the North Zone Task Force team arrested the accused, Gulam Moinuddin and Khaja Asimuddin, from Secunderabad.
In July, Moinuddin contacted the victim, Syed Awais Ahmed, who runs ‘New India Cars’ travel company in Bowenpally, posing as a customer.

Moinuddin took an Innova Crysta on lease for a week but returned it within three days.
Despite returning the cars early, Moinuddin paid the full amount to win Ahmed’s trust, Taskforce DCP Radha Kishan Rao said. After gaining Ahmed’s confidence, Moinuddin took seven cars on lease and ceased all communication with him.
