Two held for sexual abuse of minor girl

HYDERABAD: The Meerpet police on Wednesday arrested two persons Mohammed Usman (21) and Jehangir Khan (32) for allegedly sexually abusing a minor girl. The duo was presented in court which remanded them in judicial custody at Cherlapally prison.
The girl was being sexually exploited for the last nine months. According to Meerpet inspector N Ch Ranga Swamy, the victim was reportedly in a relationship with Usman who had moved to the city five years ago from Karnataka. He is working at a welding shop owned by Jehangir at Mandamallamma function hall.
Both the accused were picked up from their residences in New Maruthi Nagar.
"The victim fell in love with Usman, who is her neighbour. Over the last nine months he brought her to his room five times in New Maruthi Nagar and assaulted her. He also took pictures and videos of her in the act," the CI said.
He further added earlier this month Usman told Jehangir about the relationship, and the latter hatched a plan to exploit the minor.
"On April 14 Jehangir went to the victim's house and threatened to upload the pictures of the girl with Usman on social media if she did not yield to him. ruti Swift and abused her," the inspector said.
The police booked both of them under various sections of IPC and POCSO Act.
