HYDERABAD: Weeks after a fatal fuel tanker explosion at Chengicherla near Ghatkesar, police arrested two persons for illegal sale of petrol and diesel at Ghatkesar on Friday.
Acting on a tip off, police raided a plot opposite the Vignan Engineering College in Kondapur and arrested B Sudhakar, 37, a farmer for illegally collecting diesel from a fuel tanker. Police also arrested the tanker driver, K Shankar Reddy, 41, of Nalgonda.

During the interrogation, Sudhakar said that he purchases diesel and petrol from tanker drivers for Rs 50 and Rs 55 per litre respectively and sells them for a profit of Rs 5 per litre.
He collected 170 liters diesel and 30 liters petrol.
