Two arrested for forgery

Anantapur one town police arrested two persons for forging the signature of an official in the chief minister's office and trying to secure admission for their candidates at JNT University here on Saturday.

ANANTAPUR: Anantapur one town police arrested two persons for forging the signature of an official in the chief minister's office and trying to secure admission for their candidates at JNT University here on Saturday.
Anantapur SP K M Singh said N Bayapa Reddy and K Pullaiah called the university vice-chancellor and registrar in the name of chief minister's PS Bhaskar Sharma and directed them to provide NMR jobs for their recommended candidates.

The two had also printed a letter pad in the name of the chief minister's office and typed a letter in the name of Sarma. They came to the university and submitted the letter demanding the VC to provide jobs for two of their aides.However, the university authorities found the letter forged and lodged a complaint with the one town police. The duo was later arrested for forgery.
